About the Chakra Awareness Workshop

This day is about personal development; about getting to know yourself at the more subtle levels of your being.
Over the course of the workshop we will explore the subtle energy system, through the seven major energy centres (Chakras). The human energy field is affected by touch, diet, sound, attitudes and beliefs, relationships, life experience, trauma and environmental factors.

When energy flows efficiently without any major blockages, we have a strong foundation for good health. Once we understand how energy moves through the body and how this energy flow affects our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being, we can use specific chakra balancing techniques to optimise the vibration of each energy centre, bringing body, mind and spirit into harmony and restoring our natural state of wholeness.

During this workshop, the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of each Chakra will be discussed. The sessions will include time to explore any issues that may surface for participants with the Chakra, as well as meditation and balancing techniques, including Yoga asana (postures), to allow for introspection and the development of self-awareness.

In the first session on Saturday morning, we will tune into all seven chakras through meditation, postures and relaxation techniques. During session 2, the deeper work begins when we look into the blockages that may have surfaced in the earlier sessions and use energetic techniques to help release them. Finally on Saturday afternoon, we explore each individual chakra in detail.

We recommend this day as an annual check-in to give yourself the time and space to go inward and work to correct any imbalances that may have accumulated during the year. When we direct our attention inside, our own innate wisdom begins to surface and shows us the areas that are out of balance in our lives – usually reflected in our underlying thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, relationships and emotions. These in turn can be reflected in imbalances in the body. We hold this workshop annually before Christmas so that we can integrate the life experiences we have gone through in that year, and recharge as much as possible, building further strength and clarity as we move into a new year.

Please note that participants should have some Yoga experience.
Om, Paula.
